Test principle

COVID-19 Ag is an immunochromatographic lateral flow assay with a two-colour system. The test contains a colloidal gold conjugate sample area and a membrane strip pre-coated on the test lines with antibodies specific for the SARS CoV-2 antigen. If SARS-CoV-2 antigens are present in the sample, a visible black stripe appears on the test lines when the antibody-antigen-antibody-gold conjugate complex reacts. The control line (C) is for procedural control and should always appear when the test has been performed correctly.
